Meet the artist – Darko Bageski

Darko Bageski – Skopje, North Macedonia – is an acclaimed classical guitarist and educator whose artistry and dedication have earned him international recognition.

He completed his music education in Skopje, Zagreb, and at the prestigious “Franz Liszt” School of Music in Weimar, Germany, studying under renowned professors such as Jürgen Rost and Costas Cotsiolis. His postgraduate studies at the National Conservatory of Music in Thessaloniki further refined his mastery of the guitar.

With performances across Europe, Asia, and the United States, Bageski has appeared both as a soloist and with chamber and symphonic orchestras, including the Macedonian Philharmonic. He has also collaborated and trained with world-renowned guitarists such as Pavel Steidel, Zoran Dukić, Aniello Desiderio, and Carlo Marchione.

An esteemed pedagogue, he has been honored by the Association of Music and Ballet Pedagogues of Macedonia for his outstanding contribution to music education.

Today, Darko Bageski serves as a Professor of Guitar at the Faculty of Fine Arts – Music in Skopje, the Art Director of the Tremolo Guitar Festival, Founder of the Summer Guitar Academy in Ohrid, and President of the Macedonian Classical Guitar Community — continuing to inspire new generations of musicians through his passion and expertise.
