Drilon Çoçaj – Kosovo
Drilon Çoçaj completed his primary and secondary music education in Prizren, studying under Professor Luan Sapunxhiu, and later earned both his Bachelor and Master’s degrees at the Faculty of Arts, in the class of Professor Xhevdet Sahatçi.
He has performed as a soloist and collaborator in numerous concerts and festivals across Kosovo and abroad, including Vera e Ohrit (North Macedonia), Albania Guitar Festival (Tirana), DAM Festival (Pristina), Boros (Sweden), and Durres (Albania), as well as in recital series across Kosovo — in Prizren, Pejë, Mitrovica, Gjilan, Ferizaj, and Vushtrri.
Drilon has participated in major international guitar festivals, attending masterclasses and serving on juries at events such as European Summer Academy, ArsKosova, Peja Guitar Festival, Albania Guitar Sound, Prishtina Guitar Week, Boros Kultur (Sweden), Mitrovica Guitar Days, Tivat Guitar Festival, Tiempo (Gjirokastër), and Polyhymnia (Skopje).
As an educator, his students have achieved remarkable success, winning over 30 first-place awards in international competitions. He currently serves as Professor of Guitar at the University of Pristina, continuing to inspire a new generation of young musicians.
At Mitrovica Guitar Days 2025, Drilon Çoçaj will be part of the jury and lead a masterclass, sharing his expertise and passion for the guitar with participants from around the world.
