Kreshnik Berisha – Kosovo
Kreshnik Berisha is one of the region’s most respected guitar educators, known for his inspiring work with talented young musicians. His approach is grounded in respect, motivation, and the joy of playing, helping students achieve remarkable artistic growth.
Born in Kosovo, he studied at the Academy of Music in Prishtina under Prof. Xhevdet Sahatxhija and continued his development through masterclasses with renowned guitarists such as Ehat Musa, Petrit Çeku, Lukasz Kuropaczewski, and Gabriel Bianco, as well as pedagogical training with Stefan Schmidt in “The Art of Teaching.”
He has given masterclasses at major schools and festivals including Prenk Jakova (Gjakovë), Gjilan, Vushtrri, Rahovec, Mitrovica Guitar Days, and Prishtina Guitar Week, and has served as a jury member at competitions such as Ars Kosova, Prishtina Guitar Week, Prenk Jakova Guitar Competition, and Marku Guitar Competition.
His students have earned over 30 international awards, with notable successes at festivals including Tremolo (North Macedonia), Tirana International Guitar Festival, Peja International Guitar Fest, Gjiroclassica, Kyustendil (Bulgaria), and Pjetër Gaci (Albania).
Kreshnik is currently a professor at the Prenk Jakova Music School in Prishtina. Under the support of the Music School ‘Prenk Jakova’ in Prishtina, he initiated the Prenk Jakova Guitar Competition and serves as its coordinator for 2023–2024.
He currently teaches at Music School ‘Prenk Jakova’ in Prishtina and is the founder and instructor of the ‘ROSETTE’ Guitar Course.
At Mitrovica Guitar Days 2025, Kreshnik Berisha will hold a masterclass and serve on the jury, sharing his expertise and passion for classical guitar education.
