Mitrovica Electric Guitar Academy is the first festival of its kind in the region. In addition to the educational program which includes masterclasses, workshops and concerts, MEGA stands out for the first international electric guitar competitions in the country and beyond.

The competitions are divided into categories and participation is open to everyone. For the winners of the categories, respectively for the first, second and third place, the rewards are different such as monetary, instruments (guitars and other equipment) and participation in various festivals with the aim of promoting young musicians as much as possible.

A special theme with musical content will be elaborated every year in the festival activities.

The festival will traditionally end with a gala concert which is directly related to the theme chosen for the respective year.
